I am looking back to 2010 ever so briefly
to describe efforts made and results.
January or February of 2010
I started with Quick Weight Loss Center.
I finally caved into all of the radio and TV
ads.
The program contract was deliberately
written to ensure that QWLC kept all fees
in the event I wasn't satisfied with the program.
Still, it seemed like a great way to lose weight,
so I registered for the 5-6 weeks.
The first two days of the diet consisted of eating
unlimited amounts of lean protein and vegetables.
Afterwards, I was transitioned into a well rounded
diet that allowed carbs, protein, fruits, vegetables,
and certain sweetners.
I felt like I wanted to eat other vegetables not listed
on the diet. I found it odd that I couldn't eat them.
After all, most vegetables are healthy.
The best explanation I could receive was
we paid scientists lots of money to study this
we don't really understand the why
we just know these are their findings.
I don't like to be told what to do without
understanding the why. This was one of my
major dislikes of the program.
The deal breaker was flavor.
I love to cook. I love watching Food Network.
Eating delicious food is satisfying.
I can eat veggies and lean protein
but I want it to be well seasoned.
With QWLC I could only have 1/2 tsp
of salt per day. The American palette
is used to having 2, 4, 6 times that amount
in a day. And it has its consequences as a result.
I tried salt free seasonings like Mrs Dash,
it didn't work for me. I also tried
